batam was good. it made me freaking happy. i got everything i could ever have :D
the kids there are like so poor thing. they dont have anything, yet they can still be so happy. what touched most of our hearts was that they could sing "jesus loves me. this i know" it's like how much they're suffering and all, they still know that god loves them. they know one day god will help them get through all that pain and suffering.
there was this girl at the orphanage, my friend carried her to sit next to us. then she couldnt walk properly. we were wondering why. then she lifted up her pants and showed us. there were like this boils on her legs. all filled with pus. and her flies go onto her open wounds. yet, she still can smile and not complain. her case was alr one of the mildest there is in the orphanage. there was this guy who had boils all over his head too. it's like so sad. seriously.
food, food, food. is all we think abt. and then when we dont like the taste, we just throw it away. the kids there, they dont have food like us. no variety at all. they just eat whatever they have. which is specifically rice and veggie. or just rice and sweet sauce. meat, they hardly ever get it.
their so called bedrooms. they just sleep on thin matresses put on wooden double deckers. not like OUR double deckers. just wooden planks put tgt. and then like if it rains, it floods up to like one metre, they have to wait in whatever shelter they have till the rain stops and the flood subsides. now tell me, aren't WE lucky?
so seriously, sometimes we take things for granted. we're like spoilt kids. each and every one of us. you wouldnt believe wht i'm saying until you really experience it. it's really such a touching experience. ever wondered how you'd survive living like them?
think abt it yall. tskk
anyway, to the light hearted stuff. shopping was good. i got three shirts and a wallet. heh. super cheap. hurr. on the second night, it was damn funny la. i migrated to maureen's room. then i told aggie that kate was checking the room. so if she asked where i was, just say i'm like in the toilet or sleeping or smth. then aggie and jess made this FAKE ME SLEEPING. looks so real okay. pictures uploaded later. when i saw it later, i rolled on the floor laughing la!!! it was super hilarious. so funnnny. hurr. but in the end, it wasnt her. WTH man. but she did go over to maureen's room tho. to pass medicine only. HAHA. lalala. FALSE ALARM. then aggie joined us. and we talked and talked till we were tired. HAHA. then we went back to sleep. oh wht a night.
and beat wanted to play prank on the ppl. too free you know. then she spelt jagged as jacked. then i'm like jagged is spelt as J-A-G-G-E-D. then maureen said,"how you know, the queen of england told you is it?" OMG laaaaa. fool okay tht one. beat and jaslyn kept laughing at MEEEEEE. oh yes, and i'm a BOBDOG-cum-DORAEMON. maureen's WEIRD imagination la. she kept whacking me tooo. i'm abused. and she gets in the way too! haha. i keep hitting her and i almost made her bite her tongue. haha. and i think that her room is cursed. i keep getting injured in there. four cuts on my right arm. and i knock my leg and all in there. tskkk. but wait, she massages well la! so comfortable i tell you.
eunice's room is like the party room. everyone goes there to play. hahah. watch tv. talk rubbish. so entertaining la i tell you :D then also ppl go there to tell secrets. hurr. ppl close of course. like gwen, drey, phyllis, tiff, eunice, val and ME. i keep annoying them there. haha.
oh yes, i got this trumpet thing. so nice. haha. we keep blowing the thing. oh shit, that sounds wrong. HAHA. and this SPIDERMAN hammer. heheh.
